In this hands-on, forward-thinking class, students learn essential digital skills, explore emerging technologies, and become empowered creators rather than passive consumers. The course blends practical tech literacy with problem-solving, creativity, and responsible digital citizenship.

Students will explore topics such as:

  • Computer & Device Fundamentals:
    Understanding hardware, software, operating systems, and how everyday devices actually work.

  • Digital Productivity & Tools:
    Cloud storage, digital organization, collaborative tools, digital calendars, presentations, spreadsheets, and basic workflow systems.

  • Internet & Online Research Skills:
    How the internet works, evaluating credible sources, advanced search strategies, and safe, responsible browsing.

  • Coding Foundations:
    Basics of programming logic, simple projects using beginner-friendly languages or platforms (such as Python, Scratch, HTML/CSS, or similar), and understanding how apps and websites are built.

  • Artificial Intelligence & Automation:
    How AI works, practical uses, strengths and limitations, ethics, prompt writing, and how AI is transforming industries.

  • Digital Creativity & Media:
    Graphic design basics, video editing, digital storytelling, audio production, and responsible content creation.

  • Cybersecurity & Online Safety:
    Password hygiene, privacy protection, recognizing scams, digital footprints, and understanding how to navigate online spaces safely.

  • Tech Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:
    Diagnosing common device issues, understanding error messages, and building confidence in solving everyday tech problems.

  • Future Technologies:
    Exploration of robotics, VR/AR, blockchain, renewable tech, and other innovations shaping the future.

  • Ethical & Responsible Tech Use:
    Digital citizenship, screen time balance, respectful communication online, and understanding the social impact of technology.
