Some capacities are non-negotiable, because lacking them quietly closes doors for the rest of a person’s life. We make sure every student has them — meeting each teen exactly where they are, without shame, and moving at their own pace. This is the floor beneath everything else. We don’t require students to master these — we guarantee they encounter them, vividly, through real discussion and seminars. Enough to know what each is, why it matters, and how to go deeper if it grips them.
