Our Approach to Learning

Knowledge that’s applied, not just memorised

Driven by academic standards but rooted in real-world application — at The Freedom School, knowledge is a tool for life, not a fact to recite.

Flexible classes

Live, small-group sessions you can join from anywhere — built around real engagement, not a rigid bell schedule.

Recharging breaks

Time to move, eat and breathe is part of the timetable. A rested mind learns better.

Real-life projects

Every student spends time each week building something of their own, from an idea to a finished piece of work.

A day in the life

What a day looks like at The Freedom School

No 6am alarms or endless homework. Just a calm, flexible rhythm with time to learn, rest and create — wherever in the world you are.

  1. 10:00

    School starts gently

A later, kinder start. The day opens with a short gathering to set intentions and connect as a group.

  2. Morning

    Flexible live classes

Small, interactive sessions where students discuss ideas and learn by doing — never just by listening.

  3. Midday

    Recharging breaks

Real downtime to move, eat, step outside and let ideas settle. Wellbeing is built into the timetable.

  4. Afternoon

    Real-life projects

Students work on something of their own — solo or together — turning ideas into things they can show the world.

The best moments are when a student realises they’ve made something they didn’t know they could. My job isn’t to fill them with facts — it’s to help them discover what they’re capable of.
